Branch (Rayah's Chase the Morning) will be expecting her first litter in August 2025. Our waitlist is open for this litter and we would love to hear from you if you are interested in a Rayah Poodle.
About Rayah Kennels
My name is Pamela Vaughan. Together with my husband Barry and daughter Sarah, we operate
Rayah Kennels Perm. Reg’d. We are a small home based kenned located on a farm 2 hours North of
Toronto, near beautiful Georgian Bay. All our poodles live in our home.
My goal is to produce healthy puppies with super temperaments. I start with poodles that have superior dispositions. Add a lot of love, a little discipline, health testing and a great deal of thought to produce puppies that are placed with a great deal of care. The puppies are raised in our farm kitchen. They are properly socialized, and temperament tested at 7 weeks of age. All puppies are microchipped.
Poodle parents’ eyes are checked yearly. Their hips and elbows are x-rayed and certified through OFA. Knees are checked for Patellar Luxation and certified through OFA. They are DNA tested and clear for vWD, PRA-prcd, Degenerative Myelopathy and Osteochondrodysplasia (skeletal dwarfism). To learn about these diseases, check the "Health" page.

At Rayah, the health of our dogs is of utmost priority. All of the Rayah Poodles are fully health tested with results publically available on the OFA website and posted under their profiles on the "Our Dogs" page of our website. No dogs that have not completed their health testing and obtained a Canine Health Information Center number are used in our breeding program.

When puppies reach seven weeks of age here at Rayah, they all undergo a temperament test performed by a third party. We test the qualities that each puppy brings to the table in order to help make an ideal match between the puppies and their new families.
